Meet Love

Preston Love, Jr., M.P.S., is a distinguished thought leader in civil activism, history, and economic development, known for his dedication to fostering economic inclusion and community engagement.

 

History

A dynamic speaker and prolific author, Love has penned over half a dozen books, including a nationally recognized children’s book that fosters learning for empowerment. His commitment to education and advocacy has earned him awards, establishing him as an award-winning author and columnist.

As the President of the men in his church, Antioch COGIC, Love attributes his achievements to his faith in Jesus Christ, finding strength in his spiritual leader and devoted wife, Martha.

Holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, where he also excelled in football and track, Professor Love earned his Master’s Degree in Professional Studies (M.P.S.) from Bellevue University, Omaha, Nebraska.

 

As the visionary founder and Executive Director of the Black Votes Matter Institute of Community Engagement (4urban.org), a 501(c)3 nonprofit, he empowers communities and promotes civic participation through programs like the nationally recognized BVM Youth Tour and the local North Omaha Legacy Tour.

In addition to his community work, Professor Love is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nebraska Omaha, imparting wisdom from his lifetime of experiences and community activism for economic inclusivity in his teaching of the African-American Experience in Politics.
