OMAHA, NE – Preston Love has been endorsed by the Nebraska State AFL-CIO in his run for U.S. Senate. The endorsement was announced by Nebraska AFL-CIO President Sue Martin. 

Martin said, “The Nebraska State AFL-CIO and our affiliated local unions proudly endorse Preston Love for U.S. Senate. Mr. Love has proven that he will be a representative for all people and that he is a candidate who shares our values of equity and equality.  As a long-standing leader in the Omaha community and beyond, we trust that when it comes to national legislation affecting working Nebraskans, Mr. Love will be supporting us every day.”

Love said of the endorsement, “I believe all Nebraskans should have access to a good-paying job and a safe work environment. The Nebraska State AFL-CIO has been a critical protector of working people, and I am proud to receive their endorsement and stand as their partner when representing Nebraskans in Washington” 

Preston Love is challenging Senator Pete Ricketts for the U.S. Senate in November 2024. Love is a community advocate, adjunct professor teaching political science at the University of Nebraska Omaha, and a five-time published author who has worked in communities across Nebraska.
